FlyQuest announced the signing of Corey “nettik” Browne, who joins the majority-Australian Counter-Strike 2 roster as the final missing piece following the departure of Christopher “dexter” Nong.

After a rough start to the 2025 Counter-Strike 2 season, FlyQuest opted for some roster changes, leading to the benching of a long-standing in-game leader.

The news came after FlyQuest got eliminated from the ESL Pro League Season 21 Play-In stage, where they managed a 2-3 record and got knocked out by TYLOO in the decider match.

Just a day after announcing dexter’s benching, FlyQuest revealed nettik as the newest signing, welcoming the 21-year-old to the position previously held by Joshua “INS” Potter, who takes over the captaincy.

“I’m excited to step up as IGL. I’ve always had the capabilities, and I can’t wait to build a system with Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga and bring out the best in everyone,” said INS.

“Adding Nettik brings in some serious firepower. He’s one of the best riflers in Oceania.”

Nettik joins FlyQuest after a seven-month stay with TALON, who he joined after leaving Rooster in July 2024.

With TALON, nettik has not found much success, as the team attended just four tournaments. Most notably the CCT Season 2 European Series #13, where TALON crashed out in last place.

At the end of 2024, TALON also participated in Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: Asia-Pacific RMR, finishing fifth-sixth with losses against FlyQuest and Lynn Vision Gaming.

Despite TALON’s struggles, nettik produced impressive performances, averaging a 1.16 performance rating, continuing to make a name for himself after an impressive stint with Rooster (1.27).

The titleless yet individually successful tenure ended earlier this month when the Hongkongese team pulled the plug on their CS2 division.

Even though nettik got signed by FlyQuest, he will play out one final tournament with his former TALON esports teammates, the Dfrag Invitational 2025, set to run between March 20-23.

The 21-year-old rifler will make his official debut for FlyQuest at Intel Extreme Masters Melbourne 2025, set to kick off on April 21.
