Both teams overcame significant challenges to earn their places, defeating OG and Virtus.pro, respectively.
FaZe Clan, despite recent struggles and early exits in other tournaments, managed to regain form in the Showdown.
After a shaky start that saw them drop a map to paiN Gaming, FaZe bounced back with a convincing series win over the Brazilians and carried that momentum into a decisive victory against OG.
FaZe set the pace early in their match against OG, dominating with a 9-3 half on Dust2 and ultimately winning the map 13-8.
On Ancient, FaZe maintained their edge, securing another 13-8 win to advance to the Fall Final.
The resurgence of key players like Robin “ropz” Kool and Helvijs “broky” Saukants was crucial to FaZe’s success.
Both players, who had been struggling in recent events, delivered strong performances, helping their team secure a spot in one of the biggest Counter-Strike 2 events of 2024.
While questions remain about FaZe’s consistency, their qualification for the Fall Final is a significant step forward.

Team Falcons also faced a challenging path to the BLAST Premier Fall Final but they rose to the occasion.
After an opening win against M80, Falcons had to overcome two of the highest-ranked teams in the tournament, Complexity and Virtus.pro.
Led by Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer and bolstered by the experience of players like Emil “Magisk” Reif, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, and the standout performer Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia, Falcons secured their place in the Fall Final.
Falcons match against Virtus.pro was particularly one-sided.
On their pick of Vertigo, Falcons dominated the first half, leading 10-2 before eventually closing out the map 13-10, thanks in part to a clutch 1v4 from SunPayus.
The second map, Mirage, saw Falcons once again take control with a 9-3 half, eventually winning 13-6 to complete their sweep.
This tournament marked a much-needed return to form for Falcons, who had struggled in recent months.
SunPayus, who had openly discussed his struggles throughout 2024, showed significant improvement, while Snappi found his fragging ability just in time for the showdown.
With three Danish players on the roster, Falcons will be eager to perform well on home soil in Copenhagen.
As both FaZe Clan and Team Falcons head to the Fall Final, they join a lineup of the worlds best teams, ready to compete for glory in one of the most anticipated events of the year.

BIG and GamerLegion last met during Thunderpick World Championship 2024: European Series #1 in April, when BIG won in two maps. But that was before roster changes on both sides, so that result should not hold much weight.
According to the Counter-Strike betting sites, this is BIG’s game to lose, but neither squad has posted great results of late. BIG exited Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024 with a 1-2 record and two losses against SAW and Team Falcons.
In contrast, GamerLegion’s last significant competitive endeavour ended with a last-place finish at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024. Since then, they have picked up a few wins, albeit mainly against second-division squads such as Zero Tenacity, SINNERS Esports, and 1win.
That would indicate Erik “ztr” Gustafsson and co. are in good form, but since they have not beaten any good teams lately, we should give this game to BIG.

Cloud9 have not achieved much since reaching the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 playoffs in March. They did enough to finish top two at Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024: European Open Qualifier #2 last weekend, but that came after exiting the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2: European Qualifier in fifth-eighth place earlier this month.
PaiN Gaming have clawed their way to No.16 in the world standings by finishing top eight at IEM Cologne 2024 last week. The Brazilians have looked competitive at the top level for a while, and even though they’ve not beaten any elite teams, that doesn’t mean they will struggle on Friday.
Cloud9’s recent form makes it fair to question whether they should be considered a good team. And while they have enough talent to do better, we must first see it to believe it.

Team Falcons have the potential to do well in this tournament. But even five months after finalising their roster with Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, they are not in the spot everyone expected them to be.
They have had a couple of solid showings, most recently with a grand final appearance at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Summer 2024. Still, the Falcons also placed 9th-12th at the Fall Groups and Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024, although most of their struggles have come against the world’s elite Counter-Strike teams.
M80 replaced NRG for BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 and seem to be in solid form, yet all of their success this season has come in lesser events. So, while M80 have been winning games, they are not that great when playing at such a high level.

Complexity have a realistic chance to finish top of their BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 group; however, this will not be clear until the next round, when the North American squad will likely face off against Team Falcons.
The expectations on Metizport are far lower. As the world’s No.90 squad, the Swedes have not once this year appeared in a tournament of this scale, while they recently replaced Jack “Jackinho” Str?m Mattsson with Lucas “L00m1” Haukland.
Complexity are not known for their consistency, but they have posted commendable results over the last three weeks, which makes it hard to question top Counter-Strike betting sites and their odds for this match.

Priced at $1.16, Virtus.pro are odds-on to defeat Zero Tenacity on Thursday. Even though the Russians are on a five-game losing streak, those results came against stronger teams such as Team Liquid, G2 Esports, BIG, Complexity, and Team Falcons.
Zero Tenacity recently ended their losing streak, picking up a few wins over the last week. However, all of their recent games were against lower-rated teams, so it is unlikely the Balkan lineup will manage to translate that success to this fixture.
Virtus.pro should not be losing games like this, nor should they give away too much. Despite their shaky record, VP are still vastly superior and look poised to come out with a 2-0 sweep.
FAZE CLAN vs RARE ATOM CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

After a disappointing fifth-sixth finish at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024, FaZe Clan now have a great chance to win their first significant Counter-Strike esports tournament since IEM Chengdu 2024. According to the CS2 betting odds, they are outright favourites to place in the top two at BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024.
FaZe’s journey begins with a clash against China’s No.3 team, Rare Atom, who recently booked a spot at IEM Rio 2024 through regional qualifiers and placed top four at XSE Pro League Season 2. Yet despite Rare Atom’s recent success, they are still one of the weaker sides attending BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024.
FaZe should feel slightly fatigued, as they have had quite a packed schedule this month, and it is unlikely they will have put much preparation into this series. Still, Finn “karrigan” Andersen and co. are 6-2 as betting favourites since the start of the month and should not struggle against the world’s No.81-ranked team.
HEROIC vs OG CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

HEROIC and OG are still without a tournament title this year, yet there is a significant difference in the tiers of competitions they have attended over the last seven months. While HEROIC have played in eight consecutive S-Tier events leading into BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024, OG competed at the top level just twice this year — most recently at the CCT Season 1 Global Finals in May.
OG have recently found some traction, winning five consecutive series at Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024: European Open Qualifier #1, yet those came against K27, ENJOY, ARCRED, PARIVISION, and B8, and not one of those displays was very convincing. HEROIC are 4-6 from their last 10 outings, albeit against much more formidable opponents.
HEROIC are rightly priced as favourites, yet they have been dropping series against weaker sides, so there is a world where OG catch them sleeping. An upset seems unlikely; however, at $1.76 with top Counter-Strike betting sites, OG are a solid pick to take a map.
NINJAS IN PYJAMAS vs AMKAL ESPORTS CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

When: | August 21, 2024 | 20:30 CEST |

AMKAL ESPORTS enter BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 with only four active players, having recently parted ways with Daniil “Sdaim” Tupov. This is not an optimal situation, but they might have found a replacement in Emil “nota” Moskvitin, who played for the Russian squad in their most recent series against Young Ninjas.
Ninjas in Pyjamas have a stable roster but no notable results to show for it. They are 3-2 from their last five series, which includes a questionable overtime win against FAVBET Team and a 7-13 loss against LEON Esports.
On paper, Ninjas in Pyjamas are the far superior team. Still, their results over the last few weeks inspire little confidence, making AMKAL ESPORTS an inviting outsider pick to at least leave a dent in NiP’s armour.
Despite entering as heavy favourites with top esports betting sites, Spirit faced a challenging match.
Complexity managed to secure a double-overtime win on Dust2, overcoming a series of highlight plays from Danil “donk” Kryshkovets and Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov.
However, Spirit rebounded on Anubis, maintaining their eight-map winning streak with a decisive 13-6 victory.
The final map, Nuke, saw Complexity initially leading, but Spirit’s Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov and sh1ro’s clutch plays turned the tide, securing a seven-round streak and the series win.

G2 Esports clinched a spot at the BLAST Premier Fall Final with a dominant 2-0 (13-7, 13-8) victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas.
On Ancient, G2’s Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov led the charge with 16 kills in the first half, and while Max “maxster” Jansson shone on the terrorist side, G2 secured the map off the back of a strong first half performance.
Inferno saw G2 quickly gaining a 6-2 lead before Ninjas in Pyjamas briefly rallied.
However, G2’s solid performance on both sides of the map led to a comfortable victory.
Despite the win, G2’s in-game leader, Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, admitted the team made some mistakes but felt no significant pressure during the match.

Vitality emerged victorious in Group B, defeating Astralis 2-1 (10-13, 13-10, 13-7) to secure their place at the Fall Final.
Astralis started strong on Vertigo, winning 13-10 after a competitive first half.
However, Vitality bounced back on Mirage, overcoming a 0-7 deficit to win 13-10.
The decider, Nuke, was a tight contest in the first half, with Astralis holding a 7-5 lead.
Vitality’s impeccable defense in the second half, led by Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, secured an eight-round streak, culminating in a 13-7 victory and a ticket to Copenhagen.

Team Liquid booked their spot in the Fall Final after triumphing over Natus Vincere in their Group D rematch, winning 2-1 (9-13, 16-14, 13-10) after a fiercely contested series.
NaVi dominated the early stages of Nuke, leading 10-2, but Liquid’s strong defence made it a closer 13-9 finish.
On Anubis, Liquid’s impressive terrorist-side play led to a 16-14 overtime victory.
The decider, Inferno, featured dramatic swings, with NaVi initially gaining control with a nine-round streak.
Liquid, however, turned the game around on the counter-terrorist side, driven by Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak’s performance, and secured the map 13-10, earning their spot in the Fall Final.
The losers from each of the four finals will clash in two do-or-die series’, with the winners earning automatic qualification into the Fall Final and the losers relegated to the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.

This victory was especially significant as Complexity had previously lost their last five matches against Liquid.
Jonathan “?EliGE?” Jablonowski, reflecting on the win, pointed out that confidence was the key factor that had been holding Complexity back in their previous encounters.
This resounding victory helped boost their morale and solidify their winning mindset.
Liquid, on the other hand, had to fight tooth and nail to reach this stage, requiring three maps to overcome Forsaken and Party Astronauts.
In the final against Complexity, Liquid’s “experimental” roster, featuring Damian “?daps?” Steele as a secondary caller, struggled.
Daps, who was transitioning to the role of the team’s in-game leader, had a challenging return to official matches, ending the event with a 0.81 rating in his first competitive appearance since April 2022.
Even though Mareks “YEKINDAR” Ga?inskis was heavily involved in Liquid’s opening duels on map one, he struggled, succeeding in only 45% of them, leading to Liquid’s 16-4 loss on Anubis.
Complexity’s tactical prowess continued on Inferno, where they outsmarted Liquid, who had to rely on individual performances for round wins.
Liquid managed only two rounds on their T side, trailing 13-2 at halftime.
Complexity’s Johnny “?JT?” Theodosiou played a crucial role in shutting down YEKINDAR, neutralizing Liquid’s primary threat.
In the end, Complexity convincingly closed out Inferno with a 16-2 score.
This win marked a morale-boosting comeback for Complexity, as they had previously recovered from a 12-6 deficit against FURIA in the semi-finals.
With their spot secured in the Fall Final and a reputation as the best team in the Americas, Complexity heads into CS2 with renewed confidence.

In the European Fall Showdown final, Cloud9 secured their place at the Fall Final with a 2-0 victory over BIG, recording wins on both Ancient (16-13) and Anubis (16-12).
Cloud9 had been struggling to find success in recent tournaments, prompting a change in leadership with Abay “HObbit” Khassenov taking on the role of in-game leader.
This adjustment seemed to be paying off as they overcame BIG, who had been on an upward trajectory with wins against strong opponents.
On the first map, BIG started strongly on the T side, but Cloud9 made a comeback from 3-7 down and clinched the map 16-13.
On Cloud9’s pick, Anubis, they managed to secure a narrow 8-7 win despite initially struggling to hold the A bomb site.
BIG had a strong start on the CT side, but Cloud9’s aggressive approach and impressive individual performances allowed them to secure a 16-12 victory and close out the series.
Both Complexity and Cloud9 will take their place in the Fall Final in Copenhagen, with the US$425,000 event kicking off on November 22.

?Complexity last met with Evil Geniuses during Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2023 at the end of May and won 2-0. Both teams have since made roster changes, but the balance of power hasn’t changed much.
Complexity are priced as firm favourites to win this match, and it’s very hard to argue with that. Even though Complexity aren’t a top-rated team, and they haven’t achieved much this season, Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski and co. have looked good over the last few weeks.
Following a rough start to their post-summer break campaign, Complexity found traction, won Thunderpick World Championship 2023: North American Series #2 at the end of August and added a top-12 finish at ESL Pro League Season 18.
In Malta, Complexity defeated 9INE and Cloud9 and took a map from G2 Esports (1-2) in the Group D final before getting eliminated by Monte in Round 12. On the other side, Evil Geniuses exited ESL Pro League Season 18 in 21st-28th place and have only looked decent in a couple of B-Tier events.

Legacy (formerly Fake Natty) and FURIA Esports have yet to meet this season, although the core of the two squads met in October 2022 during Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022, when FURIA won 16-6. According to the offered CS:GO betting odds, FURIA are expected to come out on top again.
FURIA Esports have not accomplished anything noteworthy since the turn of the year but have found some success over the last few weeks. They finished runner-up at Pinnacle Cup V at the end of August and made playoffs at ESL Pro League Season 18 at the end of September. Still, FURIA haven’t beaten any notable teams during that stretch.
Before splitting from 00Nation, Legacy have looked very good, but the Brazilian lineup hasn’t made much noise since August. Two 9th-16th finishes at CCT East Europe Series #1 and CCT North Europe Series #7, followed by a top-six finish at CCT Online Finals #3, doesn’t inspire much confidence. And their record (2-6) doesn’t help make a strong case for the outsiders.
But this is a clash between two Brazilian rosters who know each other well, making a close game more believable. FURIA should win, but we expect to see the series go the distance.

Cloud9s project to build the next CIS super team has not yielded notable results. Over the four tournaments Cloud9 have attended with the new squad, theyve managed one trophy – at RES Eastern European Masters Fall 2023 – but have not placed higher than the top six in the three S-Tier events.
Cloud9 reached new lows at the end of September, when they exited ESL Pro League Season 18 in 21st-28th place after losing the Group D lower-bracket semifinal against Eternal Fire (0-2). Despite that defeat, Cloud9 are expected to get their revenge at BLAST Premier Fall European Showdown 2023.
Eternal Fire made it to the ESL Pro League quarterfinals, marking their first final-eight appearance in a top-tier tournament since they won the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals in February. But one good tournament run doesnt change the fact that Eternal Fire havent looked impressive over the last month, even when competing against lesser teams.
Cloud9 are objectively stronger than Eternal Fire, but their lack of consistency makes it tough to justify backing them at the offered CS:GO betting odds. Eternal Fire to win at $3.75 is an excellent bet.
G2 ESPORTS vs OG CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

G2 Esports looked like they would go all the way in ESL Pro League Season 18, but they were stopped in their tracks by the surging MOUZ, who defeated them 2-1 in a highly competitive series en route to winning the last CS:GO LAN event in history.
Despite finishing in fifth-eighth place in Malta, G2 Esports should not be underestimated, and their performances at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2023 (1st) and Gamers8 2023 (3rd-4th) prove that this is an elite team.
OG used to belong to the top group of squads, but not since the summer break roster reconstruction, which left the European team lacking firepower. The dip in quality is also noticeable in OGs past tournament runs, with the most notable being a top-six finish at CCT Online Finals #2.
G2 Esports can be highly inconsistent, but even on their worst day, they should make short work of OG through their superior firepower alone.
9INE vs BIG CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

These teams last met at the end of May, when 9INE won 2-0, just three weeks before BIG revamped their roster by signing David “prosus” Hesse, Elias “s1n” Stein, and Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski. With the new lineup, BIG initially struggled to accomplish much, but they’ve recently found some traction and won CCT North Europe Series #7 and reached the final 12 at ESL Pro League Season 18.
In Malta, BIG defeated Monte (2-1) and Heroic (2-0) and played a close 1-2 series against ENCE before they were eliminated by Eternal Fire (0-2). So even though BIG didn’t make it very far, they have produced decent games over the last couple of weeks.
READ: Whats on in esports from October 2-8
9INE also attended ESL Pro League Season 18, but they exited the tournament in the group stage with defeats against Complexity (1-2), Eternal Fire (0-2), and Lynn Vision (1-2). Before the ESL Pro League, 9INE also struggled in Thunderpick World Championship 2023: European Series #2, which suggests that the Poles lost the momentum they had gained at the start of the month when they won RES Western European Masters Fall 2023.
Talent-wise, there’s not much to separate these teams, but considering how shaky 9INE have looked recently, backing BIG to come out ahead is too good to pass on at $1.80 with top CS:GO betting sites.
ENCE vs ALLIANCE CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Best Odds: | ENCE $1.04 at GG Bet | Alliance $10.43 at GG Bet |
When: | October 4, 2023 | 18:00 CEST |
Watch Live: | Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/BLASTPremier) |
Alliance are set to make their Counter-Strike debut on Wednesday when they clash with ENCE in what is expected to be a very one-sided game. ENCE are one of the world’s top CS squads and recently reached new heights with silver medals from Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2023, Gamers 8 2023, and a semifinal appearance at ESL Pro League Season 18.
But while we know a lot about ENCE, Alliance are a bit of an enigma. They looked solid at XL Games 2023 over the weekend but didn’t have to face any top-tier teams.
This game should end in a comfortable victory for ENCE; however, they must feel fatigued as they had to play three big tournaments over one month. Additionally, they started showing cracks in the latter stages of the ESL Pro League when they dropped maps against MiBR and BIG.
At the offered CS betting odds, it’s worth taking a shot on Alliance with a map advantage. Alternatively, backing the outsiders to keep the score within seven rounds is also a solid choice.
The BLAST Premier Fall Showdown will take place from October 4-8, with the Americas and European regional events running concurrently.
Both tournaments will feature eight teams, and only the winners of each Showdown will qualify for the BLAST Premier Fall Final later this year.
The Americas Showdown will feature Team Liquid, Evil Geniuses, Complexity Gaming, FURIA Esports, Imperial Esports, Forsaken, Party Astronauts and Legacy.
Most esports betting sites have Team Liquid and FURIA Esports marked as equal favourites at $3.00, closely followed by Complexity at $4.50.
Meanwhile, the European Showdown will feature BIG, G2 Esports, OG, ENCE, 9INE, Movistar Riders, Alliance and Cloud9.
GG Bet has ENCE marked as the clear favourite at $2.75, closely followed by G2 Esports at $3.00 and Cloud9 at $5.00.
The winners of each regional tournament will take home a US$20,000 grand prize and book their place in the Fall Final in Copenhagen in November.
