TEAM UNKNOWN vs INFINITY ESPORTS DOTA 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Dota 2 Betting Odds: | Unknown $1.77 at GG Bet | Draw $2.52 | Infinity $7.26 |
When: | March 5, 2021 at 16:00 PET |
Watch Live: | Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/BeyondTheSummit) |
?These sides last met at the start of January, when Team Unknown won with 36-8 in kills and a massive 17.8k net worth lead. That marked their fourth head-to-head victory, having won all but two of the previous five (4-2-0) since June 2020.
Unknown enter this fixture with an incomplete roster due to the departure of support Junior Reyes “Yadomi” Rimari on Tuesday. They already have a replacement player lined up, and it is fair to assume Yadomi’s successor won’t be a massive downgrade.
Even though Unknown should do just fine without their departing support, some early struggles and a lack of synergy are expected. Infinity might be a weaker team overall, but they are in great form with only one loss in their last 16 outings, so we have to take a shot with the outsiders. Alternatively, you can take Infinity with a map handicap at $1.90 or better.
INFAMOUS vs SADBOYS DOTA 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
Dota 2 Betting Odds: | Infamous $2.27 at GG Bet | Draw $2.23 | Sadboys $4.74 |
When: | March 5, 2021 at 16:00 PET |
Watch Live: | Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/BeyondTheSummit) |
?With the departure of Peter “ppd” Dager, Sadboys are left with only four active members on the team and could have difficulty finding a replacement player ahead of this match. Although the core of the team has stayed together, that hardly means much considering Sadboys have not been doing well of late.
While these sides share a 2-4 record across their last six outings, Infamous have faced much stronger opponents. What’s more, Sadboys’ only wins in that stretch came against Black N Yellow and A-Team, which is hardly worth celebrating.
Ppd’s departure suggests there might be some internal turmoil at Sadboys, and if we combine that with their poor form, there is no reason to bet against the favourites in this one.

?After losing their bout with Thunder Predator (0-2) last week, EgoBoys’ chances of survival in the OGA DPC South America Regional League Upper Division will depend on whether they can defeat Infamous on Wednesday. That, however, might be easier said than done considering they hold an unenviable 0-4-11 head-to-head record with their regional rivals since May 2019.
Regardless of those numbers, we can’t agree with the short Dota 2 betting odds on Infamous to win. Their only notable result across the last three weeks was a 2-0 sweep of Latam Defenders, and even that is hardly worthy of praise.
This match is a complete coin-flip, so you cannot help but favour the underdogs. Infamous might not have lost to EgoBoys before, but they’re just not playing well of late.
LATAM DEFENDERS vs THUNDER PREDATOR DOTA 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Dota 2 Betting Odds: | DEF $7.30 at GG Bet | TP $1.07 at GG Bet |
When: | February 24, 2021 at 18:00 PET |

?The esports betting odds imply Thunder Predator should win this match 93.5% of the time, which is an astronomically high percentage for an online match in a league that is no stranger to upsets. That does not mean we believe Latam Defenders are stronger, but Christian “Accel” Cruz and co. have slipped before and there are no guarantees they wont do it again.
Since Latam Defenders are already eliminated from the top division, they enter this match without any pressure, whereas Thunder Predator desperately need a win if they wish to finish in the top two. In theory, urgency should inspire efficiency, but we’ve seen TP fall apart in high-pressure games before, which is why we are siding with the outsiders to win at least one map.

?The Dota 2 esports betting odds for this match seem to be set based on brand value alone and make completely no sense. Infamous and Latam Defenders share the same 1-4 record four weeks into the tournament, which clearly shows there is not a lot to separate them, yet the odds suggest otherwise.
Even though there are arguments to be made that Infamous are individually stronger, there is no way their implied probability to win should be anywhere near 88.5% with the way theyve been playing of late. There is not much to say about this except that esports bookmakers have made a mistake, and we will gladly take advantage of it.

?Unlike the first match of the day, which features two teams that share the same record, this one will see NoPing e-Sports (2-3) take on the only undefeated team in the tournament, beastcoast (5-0), who have also yet to drop a single map (10-0).
Despite their superb record, we still believe the odds offered on NoPing are way too high for a fixture in this league. It’s also worth noting that ex-paiN Gaming carry William “hFn” Medeiros will stand in for Juan Carlos “Mingatte” Mamani, so it’s not like NoPing lack the quality required to compete with the league frontrunners.

The opening day of BTS Pro Series Season 3 Americas will conclude with a clash between two of the strongest South American Dota2 squads in Infamous and Thunder Predator.
One of the eight teams in the field that received a direct invite for the tournament, Thunder Predator will look to improve upon their fifth-sixth placing in the second season of the BTS Pro Series. They were somewhat unfortunate on that occasion, as they ran into Evil Geniuses in the second round of the lower bracket.
Since then, the Peruvians have picked up a handful of impressive results in a few regional tournaments, including runner-up finishes at OGA Dota PIT S2 Americas and ESL One Thailand 2020 Americas, fourth place at The Great American Rivalry Season 1 Division 1, and a bronze medal from OMEGA League Americas Divine Division.
Looking back at the OMEGA League, which concluded last Thursday, Romel “Mjz” Quinteros and co. looked very solid through the group stage, which they ended with a 3-1 record and 7-2 map differential. In the playoffs, Thunder Predator lost their opening fixture against 4 Zoomers (0-2) and collected 2-1 wins against Omega Gaming and beastcoast, but they were again outclassed by 4 Zoomers (1-2) in the lower bracket finals.
Overall, Thunder Predator have shown a lot of promise this year. While they’ve had their occasional slip-ups, Mjz’s squad went 16-10 in August and enter the third iteration of the BTS Pro Series in good form.

Infamous made some serious noise a year ago when they pocketed a historical seventh-eighth placing at The International 2019, but the players that got them there now represent beastcoast. This ushered in a roster rebuild that went nowhere, leading to a second squad revamp in April.
Since assembling a new roster featuring Mariano “Papita” Caneda, Christian “Pakazs” Savina, Eliseo “Kxy” Arancibia, Miquel “Michael-” Choque Christian “Accel” Cruz, Infamous have attended 10 tournaments with few highlights besides a runner-up finish at Ilusion Spring, third place at Realms Collide and a gold medal from Epulze Global Dota 2 League South America Division 1 – all Tier 3 competitions.
In Tier 2 competitions, Infamous have struggled to break into the top three. That said, it would be foolish to undervalue their fourth-place finish at Movistar Liga Pro Gaming Season 5 at the end of August.
Infamous also finished fifth-sixth at OMEGA League Americas Divine Division at the start of September, where they were seeded in the same group as Thunder Predator and beastcoast. Papita and his crew managed the same 3-1 record as their two regional rivals but crashed out of the competition in the first round of the playoffs, where they lost 1-2 to beastcoast.
While Thunder Predator have won nine of 10 series against Infamous this year, the latter side came out ahead at ESL One Thailand 2020 AM (2-1) and forced another three-map series (1-2) less than a week later at the same event.
Thunder Predator enter this match with a 6-4 record in their last 10 matches, whereas Infamous are 4-6. While there is no denying Thunder Predator look to be in much better form, we have to take into consideration that they lost at least one map in all of their last four fixtures. What’s more, Thunder Predator managed only one clean sweep in their last eight, which includes a 2-1 win over Omega Gaming – a team Infamous had no issues defeating in late August.
Even though we don’t expect Infamous to win, they should be capable of stealing one map off Thunder Predator. Since there is still a possibility Mjz and co. fall apart and lose, we will go for a +1.5 handicap on Infamous rather than a draw for this one.
Elvis De la Cruz Scofield Pe?a, Hector K1 Rodriguez, Adrian Wisper Dobles, Jean Pierre Chris Luck Gonzales and Steven StingeR Vargas wrote history this August when they finished TI9 in the seventh-eighth place, which is an all-time high finish for a team from the South American region.
Before their career as part of Infamous took off, the four Peruvians and a Bolivian were known as team Anvorgesa, a name that caught a lot of attention in the South American Dota 2 pro scene due to their solid fourth-place finish at the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor in mid-June.
Showing immense talent and potential, the Anvorgesa members were approached by Infamous, who offered them a chance to join the organization on July 1, 2019, less than a week before South American TI9 qualifiers took off.
Entering the qualifiers Infamous were aiming high with their new promising roster, which did not fail to amaze.
Infamous finished the group stage as first seed (6-1) and went on to continue their dominant run in the playoffs, where they dismantled EgoBoys (2-0) in round one, paIN Gaming (2-1) in upper bracket finals and again in the grand finals (3-0) to secure a ticket to the organization’s second-ever TI appearance.
Securing a spot at the most prestigious Dota2 tournament of the season alone was a huge achievement, however, the fiery Peruvians refused to stop there and went on to qualify for the playoffs.
There they dismantled both Keen Gaming (1-0) and TI4 champions Newbee (2-1) to reach round three of the lower bracket, where they lost to tournament favourites Team Secret (2-0), meaning they had to settle with a top-eight finish.
Despite claiming what is now recognised as the best TI finish out of all South American teams, the former Anvorgesa roster decided to part ways with Infamous, shortly after TI9, as revealed on August 29, 2019 by the team manager.
In the same post, it was also announced the roster is looking for new offers, and they did not have to wait for too long before they got offered contracts by Beastcoast, who jumped at the opportunity to sign the talented youngsters.
The signing of K1, Chris Luck, Wisper, Scofield and StingeR was made public on Saturday, October 5, when on Beastcoast’s official Twitter account.
Beastcoast already made their debut in Dota2 pro scene, in May, 2019, when the organization entered the MDL Disneyland Major. However, they failed to impress by finishing 13th-16th and claiming the wooden spoon alongside Fnatic, Chaos Esports and Team Empire.
The previous roster was also known for stirring up drama, which did not fare well with the organization, and ultimately resulted in first roster changes in less than a month form their debut appearance.
Last week, Beastcoast entered Midas Mode 2.0 with a temporary lineup, which as well had some internal issues that resulted in team disbanding mid-way into the tournament, meaning Beastcoast were set for another last place finish.
After two failed attempts of fielding a stable roster, Beastcoast will hope they have finally landed a reliable and successful team of five. And all things considered, the signing of the former Anvorgesa’s lineup comes off as Beastcoast’s best shot at a successful 2019/20 competitive season.
PSD.LGD are fourth on the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) ladder with 2,250 points after reaching the last five at the Chongqing Major.
The Chinese giants are famous for their versatility thanks to their dual supports, Fy and xNova, and their deep knowledge of the hero pool.
Fy is renowned for his big plays in crucial moments, especially when using Rubick, while xNova is a calm finisher who knows how to get things done even with minimal resources.
Fnatic’s squad is drawn from four different countries, including two (Abed and DJ) from the Philippines.

Abed is one of the few players on the Dota 2 esports scene who regularly uses Mepoo, so his opponents must be wary of that and plan their drafts accordingly.
Ninjas In Pyjamas are flush with star players, but the synergy between Ace, Fata, 33, Saksa and PPD leaves a lot be desired at this level.
However, PPD is renowned for his drafting skills and Clairvoyance, who joined the team in February, has four years of coaching under his belt, so Ninjas should make up ground in that department.
Infamous, probably the weakest team in Group B, had a roster change last week when they took on Mason to replace Robo-Z.
This is a big addition because Mason is a star player who has gone deep at The International and has excelled in a variety of roles with a number of different heroes.
$13.00 – PSG.LGD
$21.00 – Fnatic
$26.00 – Ninja In Pyjamas
$101.00 – Infamous
PSG.LGD should finish top of the group, with Fnatic and Ninjas In Pyjamas tussling over second spot. Infamous are the weakest team in this group, if not the whole tournament, and that will show.
]]>Because its a relatively small tournament compared to the rest of Dota 2 events taking place in March, most of the top eight teams did not take an interest in it. As a result, GESC: Indonesia offers great Dota 2 betting opportunities and some pretty imbalanced matches with highly predictable outcomes.

Almost 3 moths ago, Evil Geniuses decided to make some critical staff and roster changes that drew much criticism from the community. However, the decision paid off as EG went on to get a few important results. The team has been on the rise lately, beating top opponents (or at least taking games off them) and looking more and more like the Dota 2 machine it once was.
This tournament is of particular importance for the North American team, who has to climb back to top 8 in the Dota Pro Circuit rankings. Right now, theyre sitting at no. 9 with 885 qualification points. Given that the competition at GESC: Indonesia is not that fierce, EG has a very high chance of qualifying for the Finals.
Theres not much that can be said about this team because its never made an appearance at a Dota Pro Circuit event. The main reason why they qualified for this tournament is that none of the big European teams had an interest in it.
The Final Tribe has a 100% Swedish roster made up of a few individuals who even played for Alliance at one point in their career. However, without a reputable captain and absolutely no achievements to speak of, The Final Tribe is likely to finish 7th C 8th at GESC: Indonesia.
Make no mistake, this is not the team that finished 2nd at The International 2016. Its actually the Animal Planet roster, which recently got signed by the North American organization.
Digital Chaos has some big names in its roster, including Aui_2000 (former TI champion with Evil Geniuses in 2015) and MoonMeander (former multiple Major champion with OG). However, just like The Final Tribe, the team lacks a great leader and without this component, its almost impossible to do well against the worlds best teams. Which is why we havent seen Animal Planet at any Dota Pro Circuit event since its formation.
Going into GESC: Indonesia, my expectation is that Digital Chaos will finish 5th C 6th.
Six weeks ago, Natus Vincere lost 2 key players: RodjER and SoNNeikO. After their departure, the teams strength and overall coordination dropped like a rock. NaVi has no real captain at the moment and their whole playstyle seems improvised. Which is one of the reasons why the team is losing match after match against top opponents.
However, in a tournament like this, where they only have a few other strong teams to worry about, NaVi is quite likely to get a top 4 finish and earn some much-needed qualification points for The International 2018.
Live Evil Geniuses, Fnatic has been on the rise lately, obtaining tickets for Dota Pro Circuit tournaments and earning qualification points in them. With the addition of UNiVeRsE, the team has stepped into a new era and is now a fairly strong contender at any event.
Going into GESC: Indonesia, Fnatic is the third team in terms of strength. So they will likely get a top 4 finish.
Rex Regum Qeon is an Indonesian team with no international experience. Like The Final Tribe, theyre only here due to exceptional reasons. The tournament organizers decided to reserve one qualification spot for Indonesia, most likely to support the local Dota 2 scene and attract a larger audience at their live event.
Rex Regum Qeon will almost certainly get destroyed by every single opponent at GESC: Indonesia. Without any experience at this level of competition, theres not much they can do about it and will have to rely on a miracle to succeed even slightly. A 5th C 6th place finish would actually be an incredible result for this team.
Infamous is a South American team with a fair amount of international experience. During the 2017-2018 competitive season, the team has taken part in four tournaments, including this one: Galaxy Battles II: Emerging Worlds, StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 4, ESL One Katowice 2018, and GESC: Indonesia. However, so far, theyve only managed to qualify and not much else, finishing last at every event the went to.
Going into this tournament, Infamous will likely get a 5th C 6th place finish as they are stronger than Rex Regum Qeon, The Final Tribe and even Digital Chaos.
VGJ.Thunder is one of the strongest Dota teams in the world and a main contender for winning this event. Realistically speaking, it will be either them or Evil Geniuses.
VGJ.Thunder has several exceptional players in its roster. One of them is Sylar, who has been 3 times on the podium (top 3) at The International. Another one is ddc, who has attended every single TI event so far. At the 2017 edition, he was the captain of LGD.Forever Young and helped the team secure a 3rd place finish.
At their latest tournament (the Bucharest Major), VGJ.Thunder took 2nd place after they lost against Virtus.pro in the Finals. Keep in mind however that Virtus.pro is the number 1 team in the Dota Pro Circuit rankings, and that the Bucharest Major brought together the best teams in the world. VGJ.Thunder defeated Vici Gaming, Team Secret, TNC Pro Team and Newbee to get to the events Finals. This kind of performance says a lot about their level of skill.
Theres a huge strength difference between these two teams right now, so I dont think Infamous can stand up to EG in this encounter. Evil Geniuses recently finished 5th C 8th at the Bucharest Major, defeating teams like Newbee, Team Liquid (in the Group Stage) and PaiN Gaming (another South American team, like Infamous) in the process. The chance of success for the North Americans is above 97%, making this match a great betting opportunity.
Bovada puts the odds at -1200 / +550 or around 1.08 C 6.50 in favor of Evil Geniuses.
Best bet: Evil Geniuses to win $1.08 with GG Bet
This match offers the best betting opportunity on this list. VGJ.Thunder is better than EG while The Final Tribe is worse than the South Americans from Infamous. But, in spite of this, the odds for this match are even better than those of the previous one.
Bovada puts the odds at -700 / +375 or around 1.14 C 4.75 in favor of VGJ.Thunder and this is practically free money to be made.
Best bet: VGJ.Thunder to win $1.14 with GG Bet
Being an established CIS team, NaVi certainly is the clear favorite in this match even though its recent record at Dota Pro Circuit events has been poor. In theory, theyre still lightyears ahead of Rex Regum Qeon and should win this battle without too many problems. However, the chance of an upset is considerable in this case, simply because Rex Regum Qeon will be performing in front of their home crowd. The match is also a Bo1, so its enough for NaVi to mess up their draft or make one critical error during the game and the odds will swing in their opponents favor.
Bovada puts the odds at -500 / +300 or around 1.20 C 4.00 in favor of Natus Vincere. At these odds, if youre using a long-term betting strategy to optimize your profits, you may want to consider betting a smaller amount on Rex Regum Qeon.
Best bet: Rex Regum Qeon to win $4.00 with GG Bet
If Fnatic just plays its standard game, they should win this Bo1 without breaking a sweat. They have a great roster at the moment, with players like Abed and UNiVeRsE in key roles, and I cant see a team like Digital Chaos besting them in a match like this.
Bovada puts the odds at -225 / +150 or around 1.44 C 2.50 in favor of Fnatic, so the returns are very high for such a likely outcome.
Best bet: Fnatic to win $1.44 with GG Bet
