This Gamers Club-unikrn collaboration aims to enrich the gaming experience by offering more rewards and opportunities for its dedicated users.
From October onwards, unikrn will introduce custom odds specifically tailored for Brazil and Chile’s top-tier CS:GO Gamers Club players using its UMODE product. The feature allows players to wager on their personal gaming performance.
Additionally, as a part of this alliance, Gamers Club members can avail their initial deposit on unikrn as a free ticket to participate in a series of exclusive tournaments.
The synergy doesn’t end here. Unikrn will extend its support to numerous Gamers Club events starting this month. This includes sponsoring tournaments across different formats: 1v1, 2v2, and 5v5. Fans can expect a unique gaming experience in the 1v1 and 2v2 tournaments, as they will be set on a custom map festooned with unikrn branding. There will also be a special mini-game arena where players can hone their CS:GO skills.
This partnership holds significance for many players as it presents a gateway to the world of video games and esports betting through unikrn, a provider experiencing substantial growth in Latin America. With Brazil emerging as a pivotal market, several betting sites, including Betway (betway review) and Rivalry (Rivalry review), have amped up their promotional activities in the region.
Unikrn CEO Justin Dellario expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership and said it would most of all benefit the users of both platforms.
“The thrill of competition is what drives so many of us to log on and play every day,” he said.
“Gamers Club, with its emphasis on fostering competitive gameplay and community engagement, is a perfect fit for our offerings.
“We are excited to cater to these passionate communities, ensuring they get more out of their gameplay.”
Unikrn’s focus on expansion is evident. After being acquired for £50m by sports betting conglomerate Entain in August 2021, the company underwent restructuring and made its comeback in Brazil and Canada in December 2022.
Adding another feather to its cap, unikrn allied with Team Liquid in February 2023, further strengthening its commercial outreach.
]]>BLAST has gradually but steadily integrated themselves into various esports, with their primary platform being Counter-Strike Global Offensive, where they host their BLAST Premier events.
The multi-year global partnership agreement will see unikrn collaborate with BLAST for upcoming BLAST Premier events as well as the BLAST.tv Paris Major in May, which will be their first CS:GO Major and the final to be played on the game before Counter-Strike 2 takes over.
BLAST and unikrn will work together to bring new features to the BLAST Premier and BLAST.tv broadcasts, including the introduction of the ‘BLAST Picks’ segment, in which casters predict the winner of each match.
Along with the “BLAST Picks” segment, they will collaborate to introduce BLAST.tv PickEms, in which the CS:GO community makes their own predictions and competes against one another to win rewards – a feature that has been available on the CS:GO game for a number of years.
Following the relaunch of unikrn in Brazil and Canada late last year, this collaboration with BLAST will allow their platform to be available in other regions in the near future.
Although BLAST has a large presence in the CS:GO scene, they are constantly expanding, with Rainbow Six Siege and Fortnite being two recent examples of titles into which they have ventured.
“BLAST is an epicentre of action for esports fans around the world and has produced some of the most memorable moments in the history of competitive Counter-Strike play.,” unikrn’s CEO, Justin Dellario said of the partnership.
“unikrn is built for these moments, when fans are looking for the deepest and best possible experience as they root on their favourite players and teams.
“We are thrilled to be BLAST’s partner, and to bring our world-class insights and betting opportunities to its millions of fans.”
]]>Unikrn are a block chain-powered esports sportsbook and the creators of UnikoinGold, one of the most successful crypto tokens in esports betting circles, and the plan for their new channel, Unikrn Radio, is to broadcast cryptocurrency and esports content every week in 60-minute segments.
The show will officially launch on January 29th (2pm PT), hosted by Unikrn CEO Rahul Sood and VP of Business Development Kingsley Edwards, and will be joined by crypto experts, esports industry figures and other special guests – including Unikrn’s Discord community – to offer Q&A sessions and content.
There will also be live esports analysis and coverage provided by Unikrn’s Berlin-based broadcast studio and content team, and use of the company’s Las Vegas studio for future video production.
Unikrn Radio is offering exclusive giveaways of UnikoinGold and other prizes for listeners, who will have first-access to “news and a cornucopia of content” that will appeal to the blockhain and esports communities, as well as gaming and technology fans.
“Whether it’s letting gamers earn UnikoinGold by playing the world’s best competitive video games or creating the world’s greatest esports brand, we are obsessed with exceptionalism,” said Sood in the official press release. “We dive deep into everything we do, which is why we are amplifying our reach through Dash Radio’s considerable listenership.”
Operating since 2014, Unikrn is an esport betting service utilising a block chain-powered platform and was one of the first token-based wagering sites to take bets on esports events.
Unikrn has experienced rapid growth and popularity for its decentralised UnikoinGold, a ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain which can be exchanged, bought and sold on third party digital currency exchanges dealing in Ethereum and used for legal, licensed esports betting on the Unikrn sportsbook.
It is also one of the few esports-focused crypto sites to have a gaming license from a reputable gaming regulator, the Malta Gaming Authority, which issued the license last year and officially made Unikrn the first esports betting site to have MGA approval.
Last month, Unikrn had a few issues with its licensing in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom following the closure of former partner Luxbet, but it has quickly bounced back with its MGA license and plans to return and expand its reach in several countries later this year.
]]>Tabcorp, the parent company of Luxbet, announced the closure of the Australian-based bookmaker on its official website – which had partnered with Unikrn earlier in the year to bring licensed real money betting to Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and the UK.
While wagers made on the Unikrn platform can be made with its own in-house Unikoin cryptocurrency, real money bets were also available – and with Luxbet folding, those licenses will be terminated.
However, the US-based start up company was well aware of the impending closure and planned ahead as revealed by Unikrn CEO Rahul Sood.
“Unikrn has known about this decision for some time and we prepared well in advance,” Sood told the Esports Observer.
“Most of our customers come directly through Unikrn, so we will continue to operate with our own licenses which give us significant freedom to partner with whoever we want.”
Unikrn acquired a gaming license from the Malta Gaming Authority in October for its block chain based gaming platform, becoming the first esports betting operator to receive the MGA’s tick of approval.
It also secured a partnership with the France-based RBP, which owns online betting site ZEbet and has significant business in the online horse racing and sports betting markets.
The new business will help expand Unikrn’s betting applications across Europe, with plans to roll out in early 2018.
“Our existing customers in Australia (and only Australia) will experience a temporary interruption in access to our real-money betting, but we’ll remain in the UK and re-emerge in Australia with expansion into 80% of Europe in 2018,” Sood confirmed in an official blog post on Medium.
Unikrn was established in 2014 as an esport betting service utilising a block chain-powered platform, offering token-based wagering on competitive gaming tournaments and skill based betting applications.
The site aims to create a virtual economy with its decentralized currency UnikoinGold – users can wager on esport event outcomes without ever dealing with traditional banking institutions for their deposits and withdrawals.
UnikoinGold is designed as a ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain and can be exchanged, bought and sold on third party digital currency exchanges which deals in Ethereum – and for legal, licensed sports wagering on the Unikrn betting platform. It succeeds Unikoin and UnikoinSilver, both which were only available on Unikrn’s platform.
UnikoinGold is currently listed on major exchanges including CoinHub and Braveno, where people can buy it using fiat currency and exchange it for other major cryptocurrencies, like bitcoin.
Earlier this year, Unikrn announced the UnikoinGold ICO (Initial Coin Offering), which opened in September. It became the most successful token sale in esports, with over $40 million (value of EHT at the time of sale) sold by the end of October. The company raised $15 million alone from big name investors, including Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Ethereum co-founder Anthony Diiorio, the latter who recently joined the Unikrn advisory board.
]]>UnikoinGold officially rolls out in a token sale in September for customers, investors, fans and the Ethereum community for use as tokens on the Unikrn site and its overhauled version of the existing betting system – and the company’s skill-based wagering platform.
The in-house developed cryptocurrency originally launched under the Unikon brand in 2015, reportedly exceeding a quarter of a billion Unikoins turned since, according to CEO of Unikrn Rahul Sood in his announcement post on Linkedin.
“We are announcing what will be one of the world’s largest token sale for UnikoinGold, a cryptocurrency based on ERC20 which will trade on all the major crypto exchanges shortly after the initial token sale,” Sood said.
“This gives you an opportunity to own UnikoinGold tokens, and use them on our platform and/buy/sell/trade them on any of the major exchanges for Ethereum and ultimately fiat currency.”
UnikoinGold is designed as a decentralised ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain and as such can be exchanged, bought and sold on any regulated digital currency exchange which deals in Ethereum – and for legal and licensed sports wagering on the Unikrn betting platform.
The company plans to use the currency as a rewards and incentive token for esports players, teams and spectators, and create a “decentralized, community-driven virtual economy” and growing live betting experience – though anyone who bets at Unikrn and transfers UnikoinGold into the site from an external digital wallet will have to deal with small fees as expected from the Ethereum ecosystem upon transferring tokens.
Unikrn is one of the biggest advanced online sportsbooks geared specifically for esports betting, and the only esports bookmaker in the world currently fully licensed and regulated. It has in the past raised a major $10,000,000 investment from celebrities like Ashton Kutcher, Mark Cuban and Shari Redstone.
Considering the massive popularity of bitcoin among esports bettors and the rapid rise of online sportsbooks supporting cryptocurrencies or running off bitcoin-only, we’ll be interested to see if Unikrn can get UnikonGold off the ground and continue trail-blazing their world-class esports betting platform.
